We chose the name Wootz as a tribute to the legendary crucible steel known for its sharpness and resilience. In the same way ancient smiths forged superior blades, we are forging a superior financial tool, built for speed, precision and modern automation.
Founding vision
Wootz didn't start in a boardroom. It started with a laptop and a frustration with rising software bills. As a solo founder in Auckland, I saw how much mental energy my peers were wasting on complex financial admin. The software meant to save time was becoming another chore.
Wootz steel was prized for holding an edge that could cut through anything. That is what I want to build for business: a tool that cuts through the administrative noise.
