Invoicing questions
What must a GST invoice include in New Zealand?
Since April 2023 IRD calls this taxable supply information. Most invoices need your name and GST number, the date, a description of the supply, the amount and the GST. Larger supplies also need the buyer's details, so check IRD's current rules for yours.
Can I invoice overseas clients in their own currency?
Yes. Wootz includes multi-currency invoicing on every plan and handles the NZD conversion for your GST reporting.
