Questions from sole traders
Do sole traders need accounting software in NZ?
It is not a legal requirement, but you must keep accurate records for seven years. Accounting software makes that, and your tax and GST returns, far easier.
When does a sole trader have to register for GST?
You must register if your turnover was over $60,000 in the last 12 months, or is expected to go over $60,000 in the next 12 months. You can register voluntarily below that.
Sharp to keep you ahead
Accounting software for a stronger tomorrow, built in Auckland. 12 of 50 founding spots remaining.
From $12/mo + GST on the Blade plan.
